During the days of one's yagyas the guidelines as given below should be followed for a better experience.

Unstressing during the performance of yagyas
Some people, particularly those who are just starting out on a yagya program, may experience some roughness during yagyas due to the karmic clearing of the stresses accumulated in the nervous system. This unstressing and inner clearing process is indicative of the effectiveness of the yagyas. Therefore, during the days of their yagyas people are advised to follow, as closely as possible, the guidelines as given below for experiencing more and more bliss during the yagyas:-

  1. Maintain regular daily routine.
  2. Remain well rested.
  3. Avoid stressful situations when possible.
  4. Eat light and easily digested food.
  5. Practice regular meditation.
  6. Read the Bhagavad Gita, or other Vedic scriptures.
