Guru Purnima - July 7th, 2009

"Jai Guru Dev" means "I salute my Divine Teacher". We each have a Spiritual Master who connects us with That which is Immortal in the world. The Guru is the principle of 'Light' in the world. We give our respect to that One who nurtures and lifts us from stage to stage, showing us how it is to be enlightened. This Teacher may be physical, or non-physical. This Teacher shows us by example how to reach Enlightenment. Guru Purnima is the day each year when we show our respect to that Teacher by our acts which reflect the Knowledge they've passed down to us.

July 7th, 2009, is Guru Purnima, the auspicious Day of Guru, the Spiritual Master. It is the Full Moon in July, the first night in summer when Light is fully present.
If you've not completed your planetary yagya recommendations, we suggest you visit our website to begin that process first.
We are happy to arrange five-day, individual Guru Pujas for gaining pure knowledge, inner bliss, spiritual enlightenment and self-realization for our friends and their families. A puja is a form of ceremonial worship performed at the Vedic Life Foundation Ashram. It is performed for a few hours each of the five days on behalf of the yajman (the person who commissioned the yagya).

What does Pure Knowledge, Inner Bliss, Spiritual Enlightenment, and Self-realization have to do with anything?

Everything! When you possess these qualities, you are able to maintain even balance in the face of any situation. These qualities are the foundation of the perfect and powerful life. The Puja will give you a taste of this life. The Royal yagyas listed below give you a larger feast of these qualities. The more you do, the more you're able to manifest these qualities in your life. You are creating good habits by living these qualities.

The Guru Puja is being performed from July 7thth to July 11th. (Cost was $125)

The Guru Puja is separate from the following Royal Yagyas. We have accepted all the Guru Puja reservations possible. Thank you for your enormous response. Pandit Dixit can determine an auspicious moment to begin your next yagya. Just email us and we'll tailor a yagya for you.

Royal Yagyas are each available at the following levels and costs if begun on Guru Purnima. They are slightly more (+$25) when begun on other dates:

  1. Month long - $700 chanted from July 7th to August 5th.
  2. Half month - $350 chanted from July 7th to July 21st.
  3. One week - $200 chanted from July 7th to July 13th.
