As the Puja is performed, the atmosphere becomes more and more sattvic. Sattvic means pure, clean, a high vibratory rate.
We place flowers, chant prayers, and other offerings on the altar. Near the end, fruit is offered. At the very end of the puja I get to take home two bananas, two mithai (small, soft wheat, sugar, milk cookies), and a flower. These are objects, food, all involved in the ceremony and now vibrating at that Divine level. Here is today’s gift:
